Create and assign workgroups
Create workgroups, add users and manage workgroups roles, and manage associated records.
Prerequisites
Administer Workgroups permission is required to manage workgroups and workgroup settings.
Create a workgroup

From the left-side navigation, select Workgroups.

Select Create Workgroup.

Populate the fields.

Name: Enter a name for the workgroup.

Description (optional): Enter a description for the workgroup, up to 100 characters.

Type: Select the workgroup type from the drop-down list.
Note: Workgroup types are configured in Settings. Learn more: Configure workgroup options

If this workgroup should be used once created, leave the Status toggle set to Active.
To prevent this workgroup from being used, set the Status toggle to Inactive.

Select Create Workgroup.
The new workgroup displays and you can add parcels, tasks, and users.
Add users to a workgroup and assign roles
You can add users to an active workgroup at any time.
You can also assign specific roles for users within the workgroup. Workgroup roles determine what actions users can perform in the workgroup and are separate from a user's role in CAMA. For example, a user who doesn't have permissions to transfer parcels may still be assigned permissions to transfer parcels within the workgroup.

Go to the appropriate workgroup.

On the Users in Workgroup panel, select Add.

Populate the fields.

Username: Enter or select the appropriate username.

Workgroup Role: Select the user's role within the workgroup. This role is separate from the user's system role and applies to the workgroup's associated parcels and records.

Select Add User.
The user is added to the workgroup and can view all workgroup information, records, and tasks.
Change a user's workgroup role

On the Users in Workgroup panel, select Edit for the appropriate user.

Select a role for Workgroup Role.

Select Save.
Remove a user

In the Users in Workgroup panel, locate the appropriate user.

Select the Delete icon.

On the confirmation message, select Yes.
The user is removed from the workgroup and no longer displays in the Users in Workgroup panel. Additionally, the workgroup does not display in My Workgroups grid on the removed user's Home page.
